In Memory of Noel (Wiry) Sexton

Noel (Wiry) Sexton of Caherdavin, Limerick, was in the Crescent from 1957 through to 1968 and was a well-known rugby referee for many years. Noel was also late Captain of Limerick Golf Club, Honorary Life Member of Old Crescent R.F.C., President of the Munster Association of Referees and President of Limerick Lions Club.

On 6th September 2026, peacefully, in the presence of his loving family, in the excellent care of University Hospital Limerick.

Predeceased by his parents Harry and Amy. Noel will be deeply missed by his loving wife Lena and his daughters Harriet and Emily, sister Jocelyn, sons-in-law Keith and Alan, his adored grandchildren George, Alice, Amy, Beatrice and Aoife, sisters-in-law, brothers-in-law, relatives and many friends.

Reposing at Thompson’s Funeral Home, Thomas Street on Wednesday (9th September) from 5pm to 6.30pm. Funeral arriving at Christ the King Church, Caherdavin on Thursday (10th September) for Requiem Mass at 1pm followed by cremation service in Shannon Crematorium at 3pm.
