We are sorry to hear of the news of the death of Dermot O’Connor in Esker Monastery in Athenry on 15 August 2021. Dermot was in the leaving cert class of 1951 and attended Crescent college from 1946 to 1951. As a priest he spent many years as a Redemptorist missionary in Brazil.
He was a member of Crescent College’s 1951 Munster Senior Cup winning team.
