Annual Dinner 2017 – Photos and Report

Once again the Annual Dinner was a huge success with over 200 past pupils booking to attend the event in the Strand Hotel in Limerick on the 4th November.

The dinner was addressed by union president Harry McNamara and also current Crescent College Comprehensive Principal Karin Fleming.

There were a great number of class groups at the dinner celebrating reunions from 20 (1997), 30 (1987), 50 (1967) and even 60 (1957) years plus those celebrating some of the smaller milestones like 35 and 45 years.  These class groups make the dinner a special event and we are already taking bookings for 2018 .. drop us a line if you’re planning a class reunion and want to organise a table for the dinner – tickets@crescentpast.com.

We were also delighted to launch the Past Pupils Scholarship fund which was generously supported by those attending the event.  We will provide more details on the scholarship fund early next year.

The Roll of Honour recipients this year were crescent past pupils Paul and David Wallace.  Both men made an entertaining and heart-felt address to the audience where they recalled their time in school, the sporting and academic life in Crescent and how it shaped their lives and careers.  We congratulate them on their achievements and welcome them into our roll of honour.
